The handover ceremony was attended by various dignitaries including Hon. Axmed Cismaan Diiriye, the State Minister for the Ministry of Communications and Technology, members of parliament from both houses, Mr. Cabdicasiis Duwane Isaaq, the Director General of the Ministry, Mr. Mustafa Yasin Sheikh, the Managing Director of the National Communication Authority, and representatives from other relevant agencies like the Deputy Director of the National Data Protection Agency and the Office of the National Treasury, Additionally, attendees included Directors of Departments, Advisors, and other esteemed guests. At the outset, Hon. Ahmed Isman Diriye, the Minister of State of the Ministry of Communications and Technology, extended a gracious welcome to all present at the transfer ceremony, expressing appreciation for their dignified response to the invitation.
During the transfer ceremony, Mr. Jama Hassan Khalifa, the outgoing Minister of the Ministry of Communications and Technology, reflected on his achievements, highlighted successful initiatives, and identified pending tasks. In his remarks at the inauguration ceremony, HE. Hon. Mohamed Adam Moalim Ali (Soomaali), the new Minister of the Ministry of Communications and Technology, expressed his satisfaction in being entrusted with the opportunity to serve the nation. Minister Maxamed emphasized the significance of the Ministry in light of the global shift towards embracing and adapting to modern technology, pledging to sustain its crucial functions and activities.
Concluding the event, Deputy Prime Minister of FRS, H.E. Mr. Salah Axmed Jama, stressed the Ministry’s importance in the nation’s modernization reform process and its role in overseeing governmental activities.
