The Minister of Communications and Technology of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Mohamed Adam Moalim Ali (Soomaali), officially inaugurated the Implementation Mission for the EA-RDIP Project today. This marks the first time that such a mission is being held within Somalia, following the Minister’s strategic decision to relocate project meetings to the country rather than convening them abroad.

The opening session focused on a detailed review of the Annual Work Plan (AWP) for the project, with a strong emphasis on the urgency of accelerating its implementation. The Minister underscored that the successful execution of this year’s plan will be foundational for the project’s long-term achievements.
In his keynote address, H.E. Mohamed Adam Moalim Ali reaffirmed the leadership role of the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) and emphasized that collaboration, accountability, and transparency are critical to ensuring the project’s success. He encouraged all stakeholders to work closely together to achieve key project objectives and ensure that the initiative delivers tangible benefits to the Somali people.
Furthermore, the Minister called upon all stakeholders and beneficiaries to demonstrate a collective commitment to fostering sustainable development and building the necessary infrastructure for Somalia’s digital future.
