A delegation led by the Minister of Communications & Technology, H.E Jama Hassan Khalif, accompanied by the General Manager of the National Communications Authority, Mr.Mustafa Yasin Sheikh and advisers are participating in the ITURDF on the development of telecommunication in the Arab regional organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) which opened in the city of Manama, the capital of Bahrain. The conference will discuss digital development, the importance of access to equal technology, the Minister of Communications and Technology of Somalia H.E Jama Hassan Khalif participated in a ministerial panel discussion concerning these digital transformation issues. The Minister of Communication and Technology, H.E Jama Hassan Khalif emphasized The Somali government has succeeded in making important laws, plocies and strategies to develop the sector such as the Data Protection Law, the Cyber Law, we want those regulatory frameworks to reflect the best international standards, which paves the way for Somalia to join the world in accordance with the agreements and participation in the movement towards the integration of the digital market in the region” said Minister Jama.Finally, the Minister of Communications and Technology and the General Manager of the National Communications Authority held a meeting with the Minister of Communications of Bahrain H.E Mohamed bin Thamer (Al Kaabi), and discussed cooperation in the development of postal, telecommunications and ICT .
