(Mogadishu, 30, November, 2023) ……. Minister of Communications and Technology FRS, Mr. Jama Hassan Khalif, today chaired a consultation meeting held for the country’s telecommunication companies, where the instructions related to the use of waves were discussed.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Communications & Technology, Mr. Hussein Ahmed Culusow, the General Manager of the National Communication Authority, Mr. Mustafa Yasin Sheikh and representatives from the country’s telecommunication companies.
The Minister of Communications and Technology, who spoke at the meeting, said, “Instructions related to the use of waves are important for improving the quality of service, increasing innovation and enhancing the competitiveness of the country’s telecommunications.”
The National Communications Authority (HIQ) on October 9, 2023 officially launched the Waves Monitoring Center which is an important step taken towards strengthening the management of the waves and ensuring the quality of communication in Somalia.
