(Bahrain, Manama, 7 November, 2023) ……. Ministry of Communications and Technology XFS
has signed a cooperation agreement with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in the capital of Bahrain, Manama, during the conference on the development of telecommunications in the Arab countries.
This agreement stipulates that the ITU and the Ministry will cooperate in the areas of Communication Development, ICT, digital policy, regulation of digital skills and capacity building, connectivity infrastructure, building trust in the use of digital services.
“The Government of Somalia is strengthening cooperation with the ITU. This agreement will be used to promote the Modernization and Transformation Process in Somalia, which aims to build and foster change that leads to sustainable development. Technology and Digital are the basis”… said Minister Jama.
This agreement was signed by the minister of the Ministry of Communications and Technology, Mr. Jama Hassan Khalif, while on the ITU side it was signed by Dr. Cosmas Luckyson Zavazava, the Director of the ITU Communications Development Office, in the presence of The General Manager of the National Communication Authority Mustafa Yasin Sheikh.
