Mogadishu, 22 June 2024:Today, the Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Hamse Abdi Barre, participated in a foundation laying ceremony for the new Data Protection Agency building, part of the Ministry of Communications and Technology.
The event was graced by the presence of distinguished guests, including the Minister of Communications and Technology, Mr. Mohamed Adam Moalim Ali, the Director of the National Communications Agency, Mr. Mustafa Yasin Sheikh, and the Director of the Data Protection Agency, Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Ali (Mohamed Royal).
In his remarks, the Prime Minister highlighted the importance of this milestone, emphasizing its pivotal role in the Danish Government’s commitment to enhancing governmental infrastructure to better serve the Somali people. Located on Jayga Road near Aden Adde International Airport, the construction reflects ongoing efforts to bolster public infrastructure across Somalia.
