Minister of Communications and Technology of FGS, Mr. Jama Hassan Khalif, today chaired a meeting to discuss the amendment of the Telecommunication Fee, which discussed the importance of increasing the revenue of the Federal Government of Somalia. from the telecommunications sector.
The purpose of the meeting is to consult with the telecommunications companies on the increase in fees, namely:
1. Annual License Fee
2. Annual Spectrum Fee
3. Numbering Fee
The Minister of Communications praised the companies for their provision to the community, and it is necessary to increase the fees to rise the domestic revenue.
Finally, it was agreed that another consultation meeting will be held next week, and it took place today at the Ministry’s headquarters. attended by The Minister of State for the Ministry MP Ahmed Isman Diriye, the General Manager of the National Communications Agency Mr. Mustafa Yasin, the Director General of the Ministry Mr. Abdiasis Duwane and the heads of the Telecommunications Companies.
