The weekly meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS), chaired by the Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre, has today approved the Inclusive Digital Policy and the Accelerated Governance Strategy.
This newly adopted policy and strategy will form a vital part of the government’s overarching political agenda, aimed at modernizing state institutions, enhancing the quality of public services, and advancing the country’s digital infrastructure.
The Accelerated Governance Strategy (2025–2029) specifically focuses on:
•Modernizing government services.
•Promoting digital skills development among the population.
•Building modern telecommunications infrastructure.
•Strengthening responsive public service delivery to efficiently address societal needs.
The government is optimistic that the implementation of this strategy will pave the way for effective governance powered by advanced technology, ultimately improving the quality of services provided to the public.
The Minister of Communications and Technology, H.E. Mohamed Adan Somali, expressed his gratitude to the Council of Ministers for approving the Inclusive Digital Policy and the Accelerated Governance Strategy, emphasizing their significance in transforming governance and service delivery across the nation.
