25 JUNE 2024.The Minister of Communications, Mr. Mohamed Adam Moalim Ali (Somalia) participated in the East African Regional Cooperation Conference, inaugurated by the President H.E Hassan Sheikh Mahamoud. During the conference, the Minister emphasized the numerous opportunities in Somalia. He detailed a significant regional project under the Ministry of Communications and Technology, which is part of the East African Community Market Integration initiative, aimed at providing affordable, high-speed internet access and fostering economic development. Additionally, he announced the launch of the Somali Postal Service with a modern Digital Addressing System, which will enable Somali citizens to purchase goods from abroad and have them delivered directly. The conference, co-organized by Somali National University and SIMAD University, attracted various dignitaries from East African Community countries and leaders from the Somali business community.
