THE MINISTER OF COMMUNICATIONS AND TECHNOLOGY HELD A MEETING WITH SENIOR OFFICIALS OF THE NATIONAL COMMUNICATIONS AGENCY (NCA)

Mogadishu – April 22, 2022……… Today, the Minister of Communications and Technology of the Federal Republic of Somalia, His Excellency MP Mohamed Adam Moalim Ali (Somali), held an introductory meeting and convened a detailed briefing with senior officials of the National Communications Agency at the Ministry’s headquarters.
During the meeting, Director General of the National Communications Agency (NCA), Mr. Mustafa Yasin Sheikh alongside Deputy Director Mr. Ahmed Ali Salad presented a comprehensive report to the minister, outlining the Agency’s recent activities.
Director Mustafa highlighted several critical initiatives carried out by the Agency, including the establishment of regulations for financial transaction verifications, enhancement of communication quality standards, formulation of a national emergency communications strategy, implementation of the Radio Monitoring Operations Center, and the activation of an interconnection service among telecommunications companies within the nation, and many other significant undertakings.
The Minister, H.E. MP Mohamed Somali, expressed his gratitude to the Agency’s leadership for their diligent efforts and urged them to intensify their commitment to advancing the nation’s telecommunications sector.
Since assuming his office, Minister Mohamed Somali has prioritized accelerating the pace of the ongoing operations based on improving and smoothing the workflow across the Ministry and its affiliated bodies.
The National Communications Agency (NCA), under the Ministry of Communications and Technology, is responsible for facilitating the development, management and regulation of telecommunications landscape in Somalia.
